Shop STI Floor Grinders, Diamond Tooling & Floor-Care Products
STI floor grinders, matched diamond tooling and dust collection help contractors build a complete setup for concrete surface preparation and polishing. Choosing equipment starts with the floor you have and the result you need: remove a coating, prepare for a new finish, polish concrete or work on terrazzo.
This buying guide connects those jobs to products available at USA Granite Tools. Compare Prep/Master grinders, metal-bond tools, polishing systems, vacuums, shot blasters and supporting supplies, then open the relevant listing to select the correct configuration. Prices and ordering options are shown on the product cards and product pages.

Which STI Products Fit Your Floor Project?
Use the task below to choose a starting collection. A floor preparation package often draws from more than one category: the grinder performs the work, the tooling determines the cut, and the collection system handles the material removed.
| Your project | Start with | Check before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Prepare or grind a concrete floor | STI floor grinders and dust collection | Work area, access, power, tooling mounts and extraction requirements. |
| Remove epoxy, glue or surface residue | Grinding and surface preparation tooling | Coating type, substrate, tool direction and approved operating method. |
| Produce a polished concrete finish | Concrete polishing systems and pads | Concrete condition, machine compatibility, wet or dry sequence and finish target. |
| Grind and polish epoxy terrazzo | STI TPS Diamond System and compatible terrazzo tooling | Terrazzo type, installation requirements and the specified system sequence. |
| Profile concrete for a coating or overlay | IMPACTS shot blasters in the STI catalog | Required surface profile, working width, power and matched dust collection. |
| Protect a finish or manage wet-process cleanup | Concrete care, sealers and slurry products | Surface suitability, chemical directions, recovery method and disposal requirements. |

Compare STI Prep/Master Floor Grinders
A concrete floor grinder should fit the work area and the available electrical supply before it fits a production target. Record door clearances, transport limits, floor size and the materials you need to remove. Then compare the machine’s working width, operating weight, power configuration and approved tooling.
The catalog includes the Prep/Master Junior 23-inch grinder, 2420 24-inch grinder, 2807 28-inch grinder and 3030 30-inch grinder. These names identify useful starting points; the selected listing and variation determine the actual equipment supplied.
| Model listed | Working width | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Prep/Master Junior | 23 inches | Access and handling requirements alongside its electrical configuration. |
| Prep/Master 2420 | 24 inches | Motor and power options, tooling quantity and transport needs. |
| Prep/Master 2807 | 28 inches | Wider coverage, machine setup and the available power supply. |
| Prep/Master 3030 | 30 inches | Production requirements, site access and the complete support package. |
Electric or propane? Compare the site’s power supply and operating restrictions. The Prep/Master 2418LP propane grinder is another catalog option. Fuel-powered equipment requires the operating conditions specified by its manufacturer; power source alone does not establish suitability for an indoor job.

Diamond Grinding Tools for Concrete and Coating Removal
Buying diamond tooling starts with the material being removed. Concrete grinding, epoxy removal and adhesive stripping can require different tools. Describe the existing surface and coating thickness when comparing options, and confirm whether each tool is intended for wet or dry operation.
The STI #0 Surface Prep Tool and STI #00 Surface Prep Tool are options in the surface preparation range. The Directional Double PCD Prep Tool is intended for coating removal; its direction and mounting requirements matter. EG Carbide Cutters provide another option to evaluate for adhesive-removal work.
For grinding and refinement, compare metal-bond segments, bar and round prep tools, and STI Turbo Cups. Match the specified bond, grit, mounting plate and machine rather than treating tools of similar size as interchangeable. Review a test area before committing the entire floor to a tooling sequence.
Tool plates are separate purchase decisions. The catalog has different plates for Prep/Master models, including 2807 and 3030 tool plates and 2420 and 4430 tool plates. Confirm the exact model and attachment system.

Concrete Polishing Equipment: EGT vs. CLC vs. TPS
Choose the polishing system around the floor material and the process the job allows. The three systems below serve different workflows; a pad selected only by color or grit may not complete the intended sequence.
| STI system | Application | Process |
|---|---|---|
| EGT Diamond System | Concrete on compatible Prep/Master equipment | Eight-step, all-dry system. |
| CLC Diamond System | Concrete on compatible Prep/Master equipment | Seven-step system incorporating dry and wet stages. |
| TPS Diamond System | Epoxy terrazzo on compatible Prep/Master equipment | Terrazzo grinding and polishing sequence with a grout stage. |
STI’s diamond polishing system guide explains these application differences. Follow the current system instructions for floor readiness and each stage rather than combining unrelated steps.
Also check what the selected option includes: an individual tool, a replacement step and a complete system are different purchases. The EG metal adapter and resin insert have specific mounting roles. Review the required quantity for your grinder before ordering.
The polishing collection also includes SPIN-1 concrete polishing pads, ceramic diamonds, backer pads and terrazzo pads for their listed applications.

Match Dust Collection to the Grinder or Shot Blaster
A dust collector is part of the equipment package, not simply a cleanup accessory. Compare the machine’s extraction requirements with the collector’s airflow, filtration, power and collection capacity. Check hose diameter, cuffs and connection hardware at both ends.
Options include the Prep/Master 3003AR dust collector and 3003GP dust collector. For supporting supplies, review hoses with cuffs, Longopac collection bags and Prep/Master dust skirts.
Wet recovery is a separate use case. The 20-gallon wet/dry concrete vacuum belongs in the comparison when the workflow includes liquid pickup. A wet/dry label by itself does not establish suitability for fine concrete dust or replace a machine’s specified extraction setup.
Use the equipment manuals and the job’s dust-control plan to confirm operation and maintenance requirements. See STI’s dust collector selection guidance for the factors to compare.

Shot Blasting vs. Concrete Grinding
Shot blasting uses steel abrasive to prepare a surface, while diamond grinding uses mounted tooling. For a coating or overlay project, let the specified concrete surface profile guide the equipment choice. A preparation profile and a polished finish are different goals.
The STI catalog includes IMPACTS models ranging from the 5-inch shot blaster to larger machines. Compare the 8-inch S210E, S210E-40R and 10-inch shot blaster by their actual power, travel and extraction requirements.
Plan for wear parts and abrasive recovery as well as the machine. Brush seals, liners and drive components are model-specific; use the machine identification and part number when buying replacements. Magnetic sweepers and handheld magnets are available for recovering loose steel shot.

Related Floor Products: Sealers, Slurry Care and Rotary Machines
The finishing and cleanup stages need their own supplies. STI EZ Seal is a sealer option to evaluate against the surface and desired finish. Check its preparation, application and maintenance directions before adding it to a polishing package.
Slurry Slayer Solidifier and SlurrySafe AR serve different purposes: one is for solidifying liquid slurry and the other for removing hardened slurry deposits. They are not interchangeable. Follow the product label and safety data sheet, and confirm the disposal requirements for the actual waste collected.
For compatible rotary floor work, the STI Swing Rotary Floor Machine is listed with supporting Hawk accessories. Check the machine’s approved pads, driver, size and speed for the job. A rotary floor machine should be selected for its stated application rather than assumed to replace every dedicated grinding or polishing setup.
Shop polishing and concrete-care products for finishing supplies, or machines and accessories for rotary equipment and wet/dry vacuums.

- Review access and delivery. Compare machine dimensions and weight with the transport route, unloading equipment and working area.
- Confirm the finish process. Review the specified tool sequence, test area, chemicals and care instructions before placing the full order.
Compare the Total Package, Not Just the Grinder Price
Budget for the machine, initial tooling, extraction or recovery, wear parts and the supplies needed to finish the floor. Product cards below and throughout this guide show current store pricing when available; variable products may require selecting an option before the final price is shown. Open the listing to check availability and what is included.
For replacement parts, send the exact model and part information to USA Granite Tools. A photograph of a worn component can help with identification, but should accompany the machine details rather than replace them.
