STI EGT Diamond System is a complete, matched diamond polishing system specifically designed for Prep/Master® floor grinders, providing a consistent eight-step process that takes concrete from the initial grind to a high-gloss polished finish. Unlike traditional wet/dry systems, the EGT Diamond System operates entirely dry, eliminating slurry cleanup while simplifying jobsite setup. The system includes eight coordinated, green color-coded tools (#1–#8) that ensure operators always use the correct sequence for repeatable, professional results. Steps #1 through #3 use long-lasting metal-bond tools with STI’s patented EG attachment to open and prepare the concrete surface, while Steps #4 through #8 utilize resin-bond polishing tools with green Velcro backing to progressively refine the surface after densifier application. Resin tools mount using Velcro pad adapters, and tool life ranges from approximately 10,000 to 35,000 square feet depending on the step and machine model.

Designed to work with every Prep/Master® grinder, the STI EGT Diamond System requires 6 tools for the Prep/Master 2807/2818LP, 12 tools for the 2420/2418LP and 3030/3038LP, and 24 tools for the 4430/4438LP. Because it is a fully dry polishing system, the concrete must be clean, dry, free of coatings or adhesives (using a #0 Prep Tool if surface preparation is required), at least 28 days old, and have a minimum compressive strength of 4,250 PSI (29 MPa). STI also recommends performing a 100 sq. ft. test area before beginning a full project to verify the slab is suitable. Built as a complete system rather than individual tools, the EGT Diamond System delivers reliable, repeatable polishing performance with simplified operation and outstanding finish quality.

Recommended Conditions

• Dry concrete only.
• Surface must be free of coatings and adhesives (use Prep Tool #0 if required).
