STI EG Prep/Master Metal Adapter is the female component of the STI EG Quick Change system, designed to hold the 3-inch EG Resin Insert while providing a secure Velcro mounting surface for STI resin diamond pads. Sliding directly into the EG Adapter Plate, this metal adapter enables fast, tool-free installation and removal of polishing tools while ensuring a stable connection throughout every resin polishing step. Its durable metal construction and 3-inch design make it an essential part of the complete EG Quick Change assembly for Prep/Master® floor grinders.

The STI EG Prep/Master Metal Adapter is engineered to work exclusively with the EG Resin Insert, and both components should always be used together. While some contractors skip the resin insert, doing so allows the metal adapter to contact the floor if a diamond pad wears out or detaches, which can leave scratches on the finished surface. Using the complete assembly—Tool Plate, EG Adapter Plate, Metal Adapter, Resin Insert, and STI Diamond Pad—protects the floor, preserves finish quality, and ensures safe, reliable resin polishing performance.
