Metzger/McGuire Edge-Pro 80 Polyurea Joint Filler
Metzger/McGuire Edge-Pro 80 Polyurea Joint Filler is a two-part, 100% solids, rapid-setting polyurea polymer liquid system developed to fill and protect joints in exposed concrete retail floors and moderate-duty warehouse concrete floors. When cured, Edge-Pro 80 forms a rubber-like solid with a Shore A hardness of 80–81. Its primary function is to protect joint edges from spalling caused by material-handling vehicle traffic, and it is also ideal for filling random cracks in exposed concrete retail and moderate-duty warehouse floors. It is intended for final operating temperatures from -20°F (-29°C) to +120°F (49°C).
Edge-Pro 80 features chemistry designed to provide superior substrate adhesion, moisture tolerance, and a flusher finished profile compared with similar polyurea joint fillers. It can be shaved flush from 15 minutes to 24 hours after installation, ground and polished as early as 30 minutes when wet or 3–4 hours when dry, and maintains a consistent color profile while resisting fading or discoloration under normal conditions. Edge-Pro 80 is suitable for stained and polished concrete floors, but it is designed for interior use and may not be suitable outdoors because of thermal movement. Do not use it under VCT or other non-breathable flooring systems.

Recommended Joint Installation
- Install Edge-Pro 80 to the full joint depth in saw-cut contraction/control joints.
- For saw-cut joints exceeding 2″ in depth, install to a minimum depth of 2″.
- Installation should follow PCA and ACI guidelines, including ACI Technical Committee Guides 301-10, 302.1R-15, 310R-13, and 360R-10, as well as the Portland Cement Association’s Concrete Floors on Ground (2008).
Limitations
- Not recommended for use under VCT or other non-breathable flooring systems.
- Designed for interior applications and may not be suitable for outdoor use because of thermal movement.
Applicable Specifications
