Blue Star Diamond BSD Ceramic Grinding Discs use Blue Star Diamond Technology™, a ceramic bond matrix designed to transition from metal-bond diamond grinding to resin polishing. BSD transitional diamonds refine metal-bond scratches and hone the floor more efficiently, reducing grinding steps while preparing the surface for polishing. They provide a consistent scratch pattern, an excellent finish, and a long expected life of approximately 9,000–15,000 sq. ft. (10,000–15,000 sq. ft. in the detailed product specification), and are capable of removing difficult metal scratches in about 75% less time—typically one or two passes instead of five or six—while allowing the final traditionally required metal step to be cut.

BSD discs work well on hard, medium, and soft concrete, as well as terrazzo and overlays, and can be used wet or dry, with dry use preferred. They are designed for medium and large planetary and rotary machines and can also be used on small machines with an applicable adapter. Machine compatibility includes Scanmaskin, Husqvarna, HTC, SASE, and others. Available configurations include Standard and Soft bonds, grits 30, 50, 100, 200, 400, and 800, with Hook and Loop/Velcro or Boss backing depending on the configuration.
