STI EG Prep/Master Resin Insert

STI EG Prep/Master Resin Insert is the 3-inch resin cushion that attaches to the EG Metal Adapter with Velcro and supports your STI Diamond Pad through the resin polishing steps. Its primary purpose is to protect the floor by creating a barrier between the metal adapter and the surface. If a diamond pad wears down or is thrown from the holder during operation, the resin insert prevents the metal adapter from contacting the floor and causing scratches on a finished surface.

The EG Resin Insert and EG Metal Adapter – Velcro Attachment are designed to work together and should always be used as a pair during every resin diamond polishing step. Contractors sometimes skip the resin insert, but this small component provides important protection against damage on nearly completed floors. The assembly order is: EG Metal Adapter (Velcro face) → EG Resin Insert → STI Diamond Pad.
