STI Edge Plate – Prep Master 3030 & 3038 is the genuine edge-grinding tool plate designed to maximize the performance of compatible Prep/Master® grinders by grinding within just ½ inch (1.27 cm) of walls and edges. Designed to hold all STI tooling and diamond accessories, this edge plate eliminates the need for hand-grinding around room perimeters while covering 66% more square footage per pass than STI’s previous tool plate. The result is faster floor preparation, improved productivity, and seamless edge-to-edge grinding using a single machine. This plate is compatible with Prep/Master® 3030 machines with serial number 1255 and newer.

The perimeter of a floor is often the most time-consuming part of a grinding job, requiring contractors to switch from a floor grinder to a hand grinder to finish edges.
