DiStar Hard Ceramics Advanced Diamond Blade

The DiStar Hard Ceramics Advanced Diamond Blade is engineered for fast, straight wet cutting of thick porcelain tile, porcelain gres, ceramic and Dekton. It combines a graphite-infused, self-lubricating bond with a laser-segmented rim to reduce friction and heat while continually exposing fresh diamonds. The result is a clean edge and controlled cutting line for demanding professional fabrication.

Professional Wet-Cutting Performance

This blade family is designed for wet saws and continuous water cooling. The 4.5-inch blade is suited to compact professional wet tile saws. Sizes from 7 through 14 inches cover larger tile saws and bridge-saw applications for thick porcelain slabs and ultra-compact materials. The blade can also support 45-degree miter preparation when the saw, guard and work setup are rated for that operation.

Graphite chips create a fine-pored bond structure that helps resist glazing, while the laser segmentation improves cooling and cutting stability. Actual speed, edge quality and blade life depend on the material, thickness, water flow, feed rate, machine condition and operator technique.

Choose the Correct Diameter and Arbor

The 4.5-inch SKU uses a 22.23 mm (7/8 in) arbor. The 7 through 14-inch SKUs use a 25.4 mm (1 in) arbor. DISTAR lists the larger sizes with a 5/8-inch bushing; confirm the supplied bushing and your saw spindle before ordering. Always verify diameter, arbor, guard capacity and maximum RPM.

Wet-Cutting Safety

Use a steady feed and continuous water cooling, and follow the saw and blade manufacturers’ instructions. Wear the required eye, hearing and respiratory protection. Inspect the blade before use, keep hands clear of the cutting path and never exceed the marked maximum RPM. Do not use this wet-only blade without water.
