AKEMI COLOUR BOND SMART SEAM Adhesive
AKEMI COLOUR BOND SMART SEAM is a pre-colored, two-component acrylic adhesive for color-matched seams in quartz, natural stone, solid surface and ceramic surfaces. Its gel-like consistency supports controlled application, while the cartridge system doses and mixes the two components for professional stone fabrication.
SMART SEAM is especially suited to light-colored materials, with shades ranging from translucent to opaque white. It is one of two COLOUR BOND formulations, alongside MAXI POWER. Select the SMART SEAM color code that matches your material; the eight colors below use new product numbers.
Features for Stone Fabrication

Use both the color code and the product number when ordering. SMART SEAM replaces the corresponding previous COLOUR BOND version for these eight colors; other COLOUR BOND colors remain in the MAXI POWER range.

Choosing and Using the Adhesive
Check the AKEMI color charts for your specific slab manufacturer and color. Make a sample joint before starting the final assembly. The product photo shows the Pure White CC 1100 packaging; the supplied color is determined by your selection.
Bonding surfaces must be clean, completely dry and roughened. Use a compatible 10:1 cartridge gun and an original AKEMI mixing nozzle. Discard the first 10 cm dispensed from a newly fitted nozzle, as directed in the technical data sheet. Keep the adhesive layer below 1 mm. Temperature affects working and processing times: heat speeds curing and cold slows it.
For interior use. Avoid applications with frequent moisture and frost exposure. Review the technical and safety data sheets before use. Store the unopened original cartridge in a cool, dry place at 41-77°F (5-25°C); the stated storage period is at least 12 months from production.
