Rodding Blades cut a thick slot in granite to allow steel or fiberglass rodding material to be inserted and glued in place with flowing epoxy adhesive. Rodding is especially recommended to reinforce the stone around sink cut outs to prevent the countertop from breaking.

Weha 5″x 3⁄16″ Turbo Rodding Blade
Weha 5″ x 3⁄16” Turbo Rodding Blade is made for cutting 3⁄16” slots into the backside of granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, and other stone.
- The Weha 5″ Turbo Rodding Blade at 3⁄16” wide is the perfect width for ⅛” wide white rodding, carbon fiber rodding, steel carbon fiber rodding, and standard steel rodding.
- Rodding the back of the stone has proven time and again to greatly strengthen stone around the bowl and sink cut out. This is extremely important during transport and installation in the house.
- Dry or wet cutting.

Weha Matrix Turbo Rodding Blade
The Matrix Turbo Rodding Blade is designed to increase speed in cutting out the rodding channel for the ⅛” thick fiberglass and metal rods.
- With a full 10mm height of diamond and cooling holes, the Weha Turbo Rodding Blade cuts as fast as a turbo blade but making a ¼” wide square notch for the rods.
- The Granite Rodding Turbo Blade makes up 2 Weha EB blades separated by a ⅛” thick of metal-all welded together.
- When the blade is cutting, it blows out the stone that goes between the blades, leaving a perfect ¼ wide groove.
